Magnor is a leading Canadian designer and manufacturer of innovative drinking water and process water treatment systems.
Specializing primarily in groundwater treatment, Magnor has over 55 years of experience in the field and operates a modern manufacturing facility with access to a fully equipped analytical lab.
We have implemented drinking water treatment solutions in both large municipalities and remote areas. Our expertise covers water treatment systems for mining projects, First Nations communities, and industrial process water applications.

Karim Abouzeid
President
Passionate about entrepreneurship and water treatment, Karim's strengths lie in building multi-disciplinary teams and processes that serve Magnor's customers well.
He is dedicated to establishing Magnor as the top Canadian company for designing and manufacturing water treatment equipment.Karim is a CPA and holds a bachelor's degree and a DESS in accounting from HEC Montréal. He purchased Magnor in 2015 to enable the company to focus on its expertise.
Customer service and employee well-being is of great importance to Karim. He achieves this by providing his team, among other things, with innovative tools to deliver a superior customer experience.
Karim is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, however, it's Magnor's extraordinary team that ensures flawless execution.
Karim loves people and values building strong relationships with employees, customers, and of course suppliers.
Outside of the office, Karim loves spending time with his family. He enjoys skiing, the outdoors, field hockey, and occasionally, the physical challenges of running, triathlon, or cycling.

Rick Sen, Ing.
Director of Sales
Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, Rick holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Since 2020, Rick has been a dedicated member of the Magnor team.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he is always willing to share his experience with his colleagues. He is a skilled communicator who is attentive to understanding our customers' needs and to provide them with solutions and a high level of support.
His role is to support our customers by acting as a technical reference and helping to develop water treatment solutions tailored to their individual needs. He is passionate about finding customized solutions to complex water applications and helping to provide clean, safe drinking water to communities across Canada.
In his spare time, Rick plays bass, ukulele and travels with his family.

Sophie Quéry
Director of Finance
Sophie has great organization skills and an outstanding ability to adapt. She holds a specialized graduate diploma (DESS) in accounting procedures and a bachelor of accounting degree, as well as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Sophie is not only proficient in all aspects of accounting but also thorough in everything she does. She is respectful, has a solution-driven mindset, and does a wonderful job managing priorities. At work, Sophie enjoys going above and beyond, implementing new tools and working with her colleagues to achieve company goals.
Outside of work, she loves reading, travelling, biking and cooking a good meal. Be sure to ask her what her favourite dish is!

Maxime Roy, Ing.
Operations Director
With a knack for organization and planning, Maxime holds a bachelor’s degree in automated production engineering and does a wonderful job managing processes and teams. He is passionate about the water treatment industry and the challenges that come along with it. He is also the right person to manage operations at Magnor because he has a positive attitude, is organized and knows how to listen.
Maxime believes that good management, a job well done and great team dynamics is just what it takes to achieve the best results.
Outside of work, Maxime enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves playing golf, fishing and camping. Don’t miss the chance to ask him about his fly-in and houseboat fishing trips.

Judith Morin, Ing.
Manager - Application Engineering
Judith is an organized and efficient professional engineer. She is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec and holds a bachelor of mechanical engineering from Montreal’s École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) engineering school.
She specializes in the design and manufacturing of drinking water and process water treatment systems, and provides technical support tailored to the specific needs of each of our customers. Professionally, Judith is driven by teamwork and design challenges. She also takes a special interest in ensuring documentation quality and organizing records.
Her passion for her job rivals her love of travelling, the outdoors, reading and music. You are very likely to find her talking excitedly to a co-worker about the latest place she’s visited or the epic round-the-world backpacking trip she took from 2005 to 2007.

Andréea Milesan
Principal Application Specialist
Andreea has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Transilvania University in Romania and over 15 years of mechanical engineering experience.She has also completed the in-house groundwater technical training at Magnor.
Her professionalism and analytical mindset make her a valuable asset to the Magnor team. She is thorough, can work independently, has a keen eye for technical details, and always delivers on time and on schedule.Andreea is passionate about the technical features of every Magnor project. Finding the best water treatment solution for each project is what drives her day after day.
Outside of work, Andreea splits her free time between going on nature hikes and doing yoga. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Matys Villeneuve
Technical Sales Representative
Matys has a college diploma in sciences and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
From the moment he arrived, Matys quickly integrated into the team. His focus on customer service, his analytical mindset and his leadership skills make him an asset at Magnor. Matys has great interpersonal skills, and masters the art of communicating with eloquence and volubility! His organizational skills and ability to manage time well are strengths he makes the most of on a daily basis.
What motivates him at Magnor is to find so much expertise under one roof.
Outside working hours, Matys enjoys a range of sports including running, training, snowboarding, hiking, climbing and tennis. When he's got enough exercise, he spends time reading or watching fantasy books. He also enjoys playing video games on RETRO and PC consoles, and board games such as chess, checkers and DND-type games.

Guillaume Caron, Ing.
Project Manager
Guillaume has excellent interpersonal skills and knows how to communicate clearly and concisely. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the École de technologie supérieure engineering school, and is currently a Candidate to the Engineering Profession (CEP). His project management skills combined with his technical knowledge make him a valuable asset to the Magnor team.
He is responsible for coordinating every step of project delivery, from initiation to commissioning, making sure his projects meet required quality standards. Guillaume relishes working on big projects and loves the dynamic work environment at Magnor. He is also a good listener and likes to learn from his co-workers and find solutions to problems.
Outside of work, Guillaume enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking and fishing, as well as running. In his free time, he also likes to program his 3D printer. Be sure to ask him all about the last item he printed.

Alban Maharilaza, Ing.
Project Manager
Alban holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. His experience in planning and monitoring execution makes him an outstanding project manager at Magnor. He has experience as a controller in the mining industry and is proficient in the MS Project planning tool.
In addition, his mechanical design skills allow him to understand the challenges encountered when designing your water treatment systems. At work, he can mobilize teams to achieve ambitious goals. He masters the management of priorities and thus ensures the efficient realization of the different tasks. Finally, his problem-solving skills allow him to develop appropriate solutions.
Born in Madagascar, Alban inherited a passion for spicy and fragrant flavors, an ode to Asian and Malagasy cuisine that titillates his taste buds and tells his story. In his spare time, he also enjoys dancing. Maybe you have already met him at a dance party in Montreal?

Thomas Guérin
Service Technician
Thomas is passionate about doing physical work. He has over two years of experience as a technician at Magnor, and he does a great job with equipment maintenance. What he likes about his job at Magnor is having the opportunity to travel to various sites across the province. He also finds it very fulfilling to do maintenance on equipment that has been in operation for more than 20 years. A resourceful trouble-shooter, Thomas never shies away from making decisions or from checking with his team when he is unsure of something.
In his free time, Thomas enjoys off-roading and precision shooting. He also likes to stay physically active to keep fit.

Patrick Martin
Service Technician
Patrick has joined Magnor as a service technician.
With a background as an electromechanic and past experience as a roadside technician, he is calm and thoughtful. We're privileged to benefit from his expertise.
An avid fisherman, Patrick also takes time to recharge his batteries in the great outdoors.

Frédéric Plamondon
Supply and Logistics Coordinator
Being part of the team for over 7 years, Frédéric now handles the management and evaluation of supply needs as well as inventory control at Magnor.
Frédéric holds an Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS) in Supply Management and Production Planning from Cégep Lionel-Groulx. He's versatile, inventive, proactive and always in solution mode. Frédéric is also THE super user of Magnor's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
His qualifications combined with his strengths make him the ideal person for the job. He has a particular interest in inventory organization and planning, and always manages to acquire the right product at the right time.
Outside of the office, Frédéric keeps fit by going to the gym and running. With a well-developed artistic side, he has a passion for antique furniture and repairing them. He also has an interest in painting and will soon start sculpting.

Simon Péloquin
Senior Designer
Simon is an outstanding designer specializing in 3D design and technical drawing. With a degree in industrial design and with Magnor since 2012, he has mastered the art of creatively conceptualizing different solutions for our customers.
His general knowledge of plumbing, construction and assembly is an asset, as well as his efficiency and analytical skills. Simon is an excellent team player, and he believes that finding solutions together strengthens team bonds. He knows how to balance work pleasure and performance.
In his spare time, Simon has an interest in the arts in general, but percussion and music in particular. He also enjoys travelling and challenging himself by running.

Sophie Desrochers
Accounting and Executive Assistant
With over 20 years of experience in customer service, Sophie is Magnor's key multitasker.
She assists the accountant with her clerical duties, as well as helping the President with drafting, document follow-up and certain marketing tasks. She also provides additional support directly to our customers and other team members.
Rigorous and excellent at managing priorities, Sophie loves taking on new challenges. She enjoys contributing to the improvement of the company. The simple feeling of helping and being appreciated for what she does makes her happy.
She has a great sense of fun and is passionate about her children's sports and good food with friends.

Jannick Bouchard
Assembly technician
Jannick takes care of the complete assembly and realization of our projects, following Magnor's customized system drawings. He has a number of relevant training courses and certifications that help him in his multiple tasks, such as forklift handling, overhead crane and confined spaces.
With his organizational skills and attention to detail, he accomplishes his multiple tasks with brio. Jannick is passionate about Magnor's mission, which is directly linked to the supply of drinking water in different towns, villages and communities.
When he's not working, Jannick enjoys spending time with his family and participating in winter activities such as Nordic dogsledding.
